Proverbs 25

Many times people get the impression that someone just walked around behind Solomon, wrote down all of the smart stuff he said, and that’s how we got Proverbs. It was a little more complicated that that.

Just like “it takes two to tango”, it takes two sides to produce a good nation. Solomon has spent much time discussing the need for a ruler (or government) with integrity. Here he gives the second part – a people of integrity.

Just like a good people will suffer under a godless government, a good ruler will not be able to accomplish good things with a godless people. Here Solomon reminds the people that the nation will do well if those who choose wickedness are removed from society. ivermectin dogs allergy

This is the second time this is mentioned – the first being in chapter 24. This is also the passage Paul quoted in Romans 12:20.
