Proverbs 17

Still in Proverbs, this time on chapter 17.

The crucible is for refining silver and the furnace is for gold, likewise the LORD tests hearts. (17:3)

Some people don’t understand how a good and loving God could allow pain. The one who lacks wisdom strikes hands in pledge, and puts up financial security for his neighbor. (17:18)

A cheerful heart brings good healing, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. (17:22)

I think this holds true both for people who are sick and for those around them. Even though it’s hard to watch a loved one in sickness, keeping a cheerful attitude is good for both them and you. dog flea prevention without ivermectin
